St. Martin’s to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at thrift store

MILLINOCKET, Maine — St. Martin’s Thrift Store will hold a special sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at 112 Maine Ave.

The nonprofit store and free Mexican munchies and non-alcoholic margaritas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican and U.S. observance of the day outnumbered Mexican fighters defeated Napoleon’s superior French army, which had intended to side with the Confederate Army in the U.S. Civil War.

Shoppers also  have the opportunity to win one of two $25 shopping sprees. Proceeds from all sales support the St. Martin’s emergency fuel fund and food pantry.
