ORONO, Maine — Top Hat II Dance Studio will present “Dancing Through the Snow” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Collins Center for the Arts at the University of Maine. The show will feature in its opening number 69 dancers, ages 10 to 18 dancing to a medley of songs from “Glee.”
Studio officials said Top Hat Dancers also participate community events throughout the year. They will take the show on the road, performing at several locations in one day, including schools and senior centers, and the Levinson Center in Bangor. At the Levinson Center, the dancers bring gifts to the residents.
The dancers made a $350 donation to the Children’s Cancer Care Center during festivities earlier this fall, and during the summer performed at events to benefit a Lyme Disease foundation and a family injured in an automobile accident, officials said.
Top Hat II Dance Studio makes an annual $500 holiday donation to a local organization that serves children, and this year’s studio donation will also go to the Children’s Cancer Care Center. Food and personal care products were delivered to Manna in Bangor, and the CHEFS program in Holden, officials said.
