The Hancock and Penobscot County Soil and Water Conservation Districts are pleased to announce that they will be holding a Basic Shoreland Zoning Workshop on Monday March 25th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Ellsworth City Hall.

This workshop is for municipal officials, planning board members, and other professionals who would like more knowledge about shoreland zoning regulations. Stephenie MacLagan, of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, will be presenting a condensed version of the Shoreland Zoning Training for Code Enforcement officers with an emphasis on erosion and sedimentation control. Continuing education credits will be offered by the Department of Economic and Community Development, Licensure of Professional Foresters, and the Certified Contractor Program at the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.
