The Searsport Lions Club will be serving the community by hosting their 2nd Annual Green Fair on April 21st from 10-1. This volunteer activity will occur at their clubhouse on Prospect St. Completion of the Lions club service project is a benefit to the community because it will show earth-friendly, local alternatives for people in the area. Local farms, businesses, and organizations will be there to provide information and some tasty, local products. Admission is free. Kitchen will be open.
According to Teresa Robbins of the Searsport Lions Club, “This is a great chance for everyone to see the local, and earth-friendly options out there. This will also allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our community including helping the local food cupboard as we will be accepting food donations at the event. All RSU #20 school kids are also invited to take part in a poster contest with voting at the Green Fair and prizes from Reny’s and the Penobscot Marine Museum.
