This race is for real turkeys. Teams of two or more have two hours to decipher clues and face fun challenges, including taking pictures and uploading them to Facebook,  in the quest for turkey idol.

Entry fee is $4, or 3 with a nonperishable donation for the Bucksport community Concerns Food Pantry.

Five turkey idols will be hidden within 20 minutes of Bucksport. Entrants will be given a clue sheet at the start of the race. Teams that retrieve the idols, complete the idol picture challenges and bring them back to the chamber will be awarded a frozen turkey.

Each time an entrant posts a photo to Facebook or emails a picture to the chamber, the team will be entered in a drawing for a complete Thanksgiving meal.

Five  frozen turkeys donated by Tozier’s Family Markets, and a Thanksgiving meal for six to eight people donated by Bangor Savings Bank will be awarded.

Teams will be disqualified if they have not returned to the chamber by 2 p.m.
