RAISING THE BAR: An Exploration of Self-Sufficiency: this course focuses on a personal examination of our relationship with the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual presence. Participants will be encouraged to discuss existing and potential strengths and weaknesses in each of these four states of the human condition. The goal is to achieve a greater degree of personal awareness and balance by furthering our understanding of ourselves, our environment and others.

Instructor: Les Simon is first and foremost a seeker of self knowledge. He is a stickler for the truth no matter how bitter it may sometimes seem, no matter how often a truth later turns out to be false. For years he has written novels and short stories with some success, and is now publisher of the WordShed, LLC. He lives and breathes in Jonesboro, Maine.

Saturdays, October 20 – November 10, 10 am – 12 pm, Class fee: $64
