The Churches of Castine (Our Lady of Holy Hope; Trinitarian Congregational Parish of Castine; Trinity Episcopal Church; and Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Castine) are pleased to sponsor a Partner Site for the Trinity Institute 42nd National Theological Conference, Radical Christian Life: equipping ourselves for social change. Sister Joan Chittister, keynote speaker, and Father Richard Rohr, preacher, will offer tools for making the vital connection between contemplation and social action. Through addresses, workshops, and worship, participants will explore how to energize their communities as forces for positive change in the world. The conference will explore questions such as: How can we energize our communities as forces for positive change in the world around us? What practices help us to discern where we are called to engage? Where may we find sources of creativity and resilience within our tradition? How can we work in partnership with those of other faiths and no faith as we follow God’s call?

Join us in Castine: Friday, November 9th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm; and Saturday, November 10th, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. We will gather at Trinity Episcopal Church, Castine, to watch the addresses via live webcast and to participate in the same workshops – led locally. There is no charge for registration. Register at: . Registration is limited to 50 participants. Coffee and tea will be provided; bring a brown bag lunch on Saturday. If you have questions, call the Rev. Peg Thomas, Priest-in-Charge at Trinity Episcopal Church: 460-9373.

All are welcome; join us – be part of the conversation.
