“Ice Worlds” examines the close ties of life and water on Earth and the changing climate that will affect us all. It is a spectacular exploration of icebergs, massive glaciers, and their importance to Earth using satellite data, photography and computer animation. Other distant worlds where ice and water abound, and the winter constellations above Maine’s snow covered fields are included in this adventure. Produced in support of the International Polar Year 2007-2008 using satellite imagery, actual footage in the field, and CG animation. “Ice Worlds” is suitable for ages 7 and up.

Friday, Sept. 20
