Kelsey Sullivan, Maine’s lead biologist for the wild turkey population (and a PVC board member), will present a program describing the successful reintroduction of the wild turkey to Maine, and the dramatic increase in turkey populations over the past two decades. He will also share interesting facts about the natural history of wild turkeys, and answer audience questions about the bird that Benjamin Franklin favored over the bald eagle as a more appropriate national emblem.
