MDI speech team to present recitations

BAR HARBOR, Maine — The Mount Desert Island High School speech team will present current work in a public performance at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the school library. Students will present prose, poetry and speeches by Ray Bradbury, Ruth Moore, Paul Hawken, Anna Quindlen, Julie Otsuka and others.

The performance is free, with donations accepted.
