Patten Free Library Hosts “eReaders: Help and How-to”

BATH, Maine — A hands-on information session on eReaders and eBooks will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the second floor community room at Patten Free Library. The presentation is free and open to all.

The session is designed to help patrons and community members who are just beginning to use an eReader and would like to know more about their devices and about sources of free reading material. The presentation will include a demonatration on how to download library eBooks to a Nook, a Kindle and an iPad. There will also be an overview of other websites that offer free eBooks.

Or, library patrons may schedule an appointment with a librarian to get personalized instruction on eReaders or other emerging technologies, for research assistance or to learn basic computer skills. To schedule individual time with a librarian, call Jordan at 207-443-5141, ext. 25.
