Join the Downeast Lakes Land Trust in welcoming local author and the Director of the Tribal Historic Preservation Office, Donald Soctomah for an evening that explores the roots of human history in the Downeast region. Perhaps the most recognized member of the Passamaquoddy tribe, Mr. Soctomah was the tribe’s legislative representative to the State of Maine from 1998 to 2002 and 2006 to 2010. With words that echo across the lakes from time immemorial, Mr. Soctomah will share legends and stories about the special places in the Grand Lake Stream area.
