Orchid society to meet for luncheon, auction

BREWER, Maine — The Eastern Maine Orchid Society will hold a luncheon and auction 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, Weathervane Restaurant on Wilson St.

Items up for bid include orchid related items and handmade items such as jewelry, baked goods, plants, wine, travel bags, gardening items, note cards, calenders, and much more.
Proceeds will benefit the club’s scholarship awards and donations to local organizations.
The event is open to the public. Participants order lunch from the restaurant menu and pay on their own.
