Seanna Annis, Associate Professor of Mycology at the Univesity of Maine at Orono, serves as the mycological resource for the state of Maine. She received the 2011 NSFA Agricultural Award for her diligent service to the Maine public.
Hirundo Wildlife Refuge is located on Hudson Rd (Rte. 43) Alton/Old Town.
Directions from the South – Take the I-95 N and then the ME-43 exit 197 to Old Town/Hudson. Turn left onto Rt. 43 (Hudson Rd). Go west 5.2 miles. Gate 1, large red sign will be on your right (north side of Rt. 43). Turn off Rt. 43 and follow the dirt road for ~1/2 mile to the Pine Tree parking lot. Meet at the Parker Reed shelter, which is further on the left.
