BAR HARBOR – There’s nefarious things afoot at the Jesup library this weekend.

Lucy Jan-Turan wandered into the Bar Harbor library one day and thought, “This would be the perfect setting for a play, a murder mystery.” So she wrote one.

“Six Prime Suspects, A Murder Mystery in One Act” will premiere at the Jesup this Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. It’s a 30-minute interactive play with a cast of six, all students at College of the Atlantic (COA) including Ms. Jan-Turan, who’s a second-year student at the Bar Harbor college.

Audience members will be invited to help solve the mystery. And there will be prizes!

“We’re delighted the Jesup inspired a play,” said library director Ruth A. Eveland. “So, yes, there’s going to be murder at the library, and as long as it’s not the director I’m OK with that.”

Admission is free and all are welcome. For more information, contact the Jesup at 207-288-4245.
