ROCKLAND, Maine — A multi-handicapped event will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Harbor Park in Rockland. The free event is open to the public. It will focus on veterans with disabilities, senior citizens, language-learning disabilities, dyslexia, health conditions such as strokes and heart disease, cancer, diabetes, MS, and more.

The event will offer fellowship and comfort, and will increase public awareness of  those dealing with disabilities and other circumstances.  Attendees with issues of mobility may be dropped off right at the park.

Bring a picnic lunch. Those who are able may want to bring a chair as seating is limited.

The park will remain open for use to boaters and restaurants.
