Meet a real live adventure traveler! Glenn Charles is an adventure traveler, professional photographer, writer, and speaker. In a quest to travel more than 50,000 miles by bike, kayak and other means of human powered transportation, his goal is simple: inspire both young and old to reconnect with nature and lead simpler and happier lives. Through this journey, Glenn seeks new ways to explore the world, connect with people he meets and share his story of hope and inspiration.
To date Glenn has traveled more than 16,500 miles using only human powered transportation. His images are internationally published in magazines including National Geographic, Adventure Traveler, and Ocean Paddler as well as news publications such as the Scottish Sun. Highlights of the last three years include a solo 1,800 mile expedition from Seattle to Glacier bay via kayak; a 3,300 mile solo expedition to paddle the entire US Atlantic coastline; and almost 10,000 miles of solo bike expeditions through North America, Europe and Africa.
In 2012, the Ted Simon Foundation named Glenn a Jupiter Traveler in honor of his efforts to inspire others through his adventure travels.
