MCCS board of trustees to weigh naming of centers at college in Presque Isle

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A regularly-scheduled meeting of the Maine Community College System board of trustees will be held at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Edmunds Conference Center at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle.

The Board is scheduled to vote on System President John Fitzsimmons’ nomination of a new president of Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield.  The trustees also will vote to accept several gifts to the System, approve amendments to a number of Systemwide policies and authorize several changes to the System academic inventory.  The board also will consider a resolution to approve the naming of the Akeley Student Center and the Rodney Smith Wellness Center at NMCC.
