GRAND LAKE STREAM, Maine — The Downeast Lakes Land Trust is pleased to present Maine Guide Al LaPlante for a hands-on 3 to 3 ½ day workshop, which will prepare participants to travel with confidence into the backwoods and on remote waters. Attendees can use their newfound skills with map, compass, and GPS to visit the places they have always wanted to explore. Against the backdrop of Maine’s 2,500 lakes, participants will learn how to return to secret fishing spots with accuracy as well as design the best route to cross bodies of water without hitting rocks.

The cost for the 3 day workshop is $165/person. An additional half day session on the water is also available for $40. Registration is required and class size will not exceed 8 individuals, so enroll early to assure a place. Contact the Downeast Lakes Land Trust to register by calling 796-2100 or emailing info@downeastlakes.org.
