PORTLAND, Maine — Make the most of your money this week! File your federal and state income taxes for free and get connected to free financial education resources. February 28 at 5 p.m., March 1 at 5 p.m. and March 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHAT: Join us for FREE tax preparation; Maine Property Tax and Rent Refund application assistance; credit reports, unclaimed property search; housing assistance; and money management tools.

OPTION 1: File for free in person with an IRS-certified volunteer tax preparer. Income qualification: 2012 household income less than $51,000.

OPTION 2: File for free online. Go to www.myfreetaxes.com/maine. Income qualification: 2012 household income less than $57,000. Use of myfreetaxes.com/maine requires an active email address.

WHEN: February 26-28: 5-8 p.m. and March 2: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
