The Friends of Maine’s Seabirds will be participating in the Rockland Art Walk on November 2nd and December 7th, as the last of the art walks for the 2012 year. The gallery, in the collaborative headquarters with the Maine

Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge, is at 9 Water Street and is host to 5 artists. The first installation in our beautiful new gallery includes four media: woodcarving, watercolor, drawing, and photography. A portion of all sales goes to support the mission of the Friends group.

The Friends of Maine’s Seabird Islands will continually host artists whose work can be related to conservation efforts, here on Maine’s beautiful coastline, as part of our partnership efforts with our community. Additionally, a portion of the artwork from the Farnsworth Art Gallery- Julia’s Gallery, that students created on a bird theme, is also on display

at the Visitor Center.

Beginning at 5pm for the Friday art walk in Rockland, December 7th, the show will be on display until January 2013. The Visitor Center hours are normally

Monday – Friday 8:30-4:30, but we will be open for the evening art walks. Please join us between 5-8pm at 9 Water Street (across from Boston Financial

and Sweets & Meats), for discussions and light refreshments.
