“Leadership is an action many can take, not a position few can hold.” That’s the message to be share when Maine Association of Nonprofits presents its 6th Annual Nonprofit Leadership Conference in partnership with Colby College.

The opening keynote address will be presented by Paul Schmitz, CEO of Public Allies, an organization that advances new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofits and civic participation. Paul served on the Obama-Biden Transition Team and is a member of the White House Council on Community Solution.

Christopher T. Gates, will present the afternoon keynote address. Chris serves as CEO of Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE) in Washington DC, and is also the former President of the National Civic League (NCL), America’s oldest good government organization.

Breakout sessions will offer participants the opportunity to learn from community-building leaders.

This event is will include lunch, and is recommended for all who lead organizations, serve on boards or work to bring community and organizations together. $65 for members, $130 for NonMembers.
