Reviving the widely exhibited 1960s-70s Monhegan Island black&white photographic works of Marty Meltz, the Lubec Memorial Library will feature the work during the month of July. Honored by the Maine State Commission on the Arts and the Humanities and the U. of Maine by sponsorship in three-year, one-photographer road shows, the work was also shown in juried shows at the Philadelphia and Cambridge Art Alliances, with work purchased by the Bowdoin College Art Museum and exhibited by invitation at the prestigious J. Walter Thompson Company of New York. Marty Meltz was the films critic for the Maine Sunday Telegram for 30 years.
