ELLSWORTH, Maine — Look Good… Feel Better will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center, 23 Commerce Park.
The program is a community-based, free, national service. It teaches female cancer patients beauty tips to look better and feel good about how they look during chemotherapy and radiation treatments and after. Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss and how to use wigs, turbans and scarves. Each woman gets a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.
Call the center at 207-664-0339 to register for the program.
