Orono – The public is invited to a presentation on Monday, February 7th at 7:15 PM at the Dirigo Inn for the elderly and disabled on living safer with EMHS LiveSAFE. Many seniors and disabled persons live alone and when an emergency arises they need a way to summons help. Jennifer Maskala, EMHS LiveSAFE Manager, will present options for living safer in your home.
EMHS LiveSAFE provides personal emergency response services, friendly support, and a sense of security at the touch of a button. “This is a unique service in that it is not only for emergencies, but it is total telephone support,” said Maskala. The system can help in any type of situation, medical or not. Some people may push their button because they are feeling anxious, they smell smoke, or just want to test their button.”
The program will be held in the Penobscot Media Room at the Dirigo Pines Inn and free to the public. For more information, call EMHS LiveSAFE at 1-877-880-7677.
