Library to host bookmaking workshop for children

BLUE HILL, Maine — Artist and bookmaker Anne-Claude Cotty will do a pop-up bookmaking workshop for children ages 7 to 13 9:30 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Blue Hill Public Library. The theme will be snow, and Cotty will read a poems about winter weather and activities to inspire drawings which will be used to create pop-up books.

Cotty is a long-time Stonington artist and teacher, with a special interest in working with images and words in artist-made books.

The program is free but space is limited and registration is required. Participants may sign up using the events calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the library at 207-375-5515.
