LAST STOP HORSE RESCUE is a state licensed 501c3 non profit organization that rescues horses from abuse, starvation, and neglect. The rescue takes in horses from the state of Maine’s Animal Welfare program. Lucky is a horse at the rescue who recently had life saving surgery at Cornell Equine Hospital to remove a rare bone cyst in her jaw. Lucky came to the rescue emaciated, and weak from not being able to chew properly. A two year journey to help Lucky has helped her to recover, and regain weight that she had lost. Saving Lucky has been a team effort with many supporters of the rescue coming together to save this horse’s life, and now you can meet Lucky in Bangor at Tractor Supply for “Pet Appreciation Day.” Please stop by from 10-5 on Saturday, October 13 to meet Lucky. Last Stop Horse Rescue t-shirts with Lucky’s photo on the logo will be on sale for $15.00 each (limited supply-can take orders for more). Proceeds from these shirts will benefit the horses at the rescue. Horse balloons will be on sale for a donation of $10.00 each, LSHR bracelets for $3.50 which buys a bale of hay, and other items on sale that benefit the horses.
