Last Gas is set at Paradis’ gas station and convenience store—the last place for such items before the Canadian border. Nat Paradis is a 30-something, divorced single father. When his old high school flame, Lurene’s, arrival in town for her mother’s burial coincides with his best friend Guy’s birthday gift of tickets to a Red Sox-Yankees game, the sparks begin to fly. Filled with humor, some transformative country swing dancing, and a surprise ending, Last Gas is a hopeful window into loves lost and found–and the unexpected ways we sometimes find to “get back to happy” while never leaving home.
