Shed those holiday pounds and fulfill your New Year’s resolution to exercise more with “Kickstart to Fitness,” a six-week fitness course with Samantha Williams. In this course we will burn calories, build muscle with resistance training, improve balance and flexibility, and strengthen our cores!


Samantha Williams has been an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Group Exercise Instructor since 2011, received Zumba certification in 2012, and completed YogaFit Level 1 in 2013. Samantha has been instructing Mindful Movement and Zumba at the CCLC and Women on Weights at the University of Maine Machias since 2012. Visit Samantha’s website:

Duration: Six one-hour sessions

Date, Time: Wednesdays, 11:00am-12:00pm, January 8 – February 12, 2014

Class fee: $50. Scholarship money is available.

Materials fee: n/a

Class Size: Minimum four, Maximum ten.

Special instructions: Participants are asked to bring a towel, water and a set of 3-8 lb. hand weights
