CASTINE, Maine — New England storyteller and local resident Johanna Sweet will present three programs on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Sweet will explore themes of humor, wisdom, and humanity drawn from diverse cultures around the world.

Two of the performances will take place in the Castine Historical Society’s Mitchell Room for Adams School and home-school students. A presentation for grades three through eight will be held from 7:45-8:30 a.m., and one for prekindergarten through grade two will be held from 8:45-9:15 a.m. Children age 2 through 5 are invited to the latter presentation, but must be accompanied by an adult.

A  special program will be presented for those age 12 to adult at 7 p.m. at the Witherle Library.

The programs are part of a year-long storytelling event which will culminate in an August Storytelling Festival.
