ELLSWORTH, Maine — If you find yourself at a loss in choosing the right health insurance in the wake of the Affordable Care Act, you’re not alone. Fortunately, there is help just around the corner at the Ellsworth Public Library. The Library is sponsoring an evening overview of the Affordable Care Act and your options for getting health insurance on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Certified Health Care Navigators Kevin Hunt, Lynn Cheney and Deborah Turner will provide a brief presentation to be followed by a question and answer session.
Navigators help the public navigate the process of signing up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. They also explain options available, help people understand which are the most economical plans for them, and give people information about the Maine Health Insurance Consumer Assistance Program that can help them file an appeal or a complaint about their insurance.
