Insight on Missions Conference on Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th at Columbia Street Baptist Church. The event will begin with a free supper on Friday at 6:00 p.m. followed by a presentation by Kristy Engel, A Health Care Resource Missionary to Ibero-America and the Caribean. Trained as a nurse practitioner, her ministry helps stop and prevent human trafficking, exploitation of children, and poverty. Saturday’s Insight Conference begins at 9:00 a.m. and will feature Rebecca Rexrode-Chavez, a missionary to Mexico who is translating the Bible into indigenous tribal languages. Also, John Romano of Child Evangelism Fellowship will discuss Good News Clubs that provide opportunities for children to hear the Christian Gospel in the public schools. Columbia Street Baptist church is located in downtown Bangor and offers free parking next to the church.
