The Robert E. White Art Gallery at Husson University presents “Uncertain Spaces” featuring the paintings of Shane Charles Smith and the visual poetry of Rachel Kennedy. The exhibit will run from January 2 through February 28, 2013. An Artist’s Reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. on January 24, 2013 at the Gallery located in Peabody Hall.

Shane Smith graduated from the University of Maine-Presque Isle in 2009 with his BFA in painting; in this series, he creates site-specific pieces about and made from the locations. Rachel Kennedy is a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono in English (2007) and Biochemistry (2008), and is currently a PhD candidate in the biomedical sciences. Her work is both intellectual and intuited: a shift between her heart and mind, centered on her new home, Maine.

The White Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m. For additional information about the exhibit, please contact 941-7887.
