Calling all farm stand lovers! October is the perfect month to visit the Presque isle School Farm. If Mother Nature cooperates we might even get to see the cider press in action. Boasting the largest apple orchard north of Newport, the Presque Isle School Farm is the perfect place to fill up on all your fall time favorites…EVEN apple pies! What could get better than this? How about an afternoon that includes a horse drawn wagon ride? Putnam Farms in Mapleton not only will give you a beautiful ride behind beautiful horses, but they will also hide pumpkins for us to take home. Trip will depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 9:30am and return by 3:30pm. At 11:30am we break for a sit down lunch, included with fee. Minimum of six people required to pre-register with a committed fee of $25.00 by 4:00pm September 21, 2012. Trip is reserved for individuals over the age of 55. Rain date October 10, 2012.
