Grammy Award Nominee Judy Pancoast to Perform Children’s Concert

The talents of Brewer’s children will be showcased when internationally acclaimed children’s singer/songwriter Judy Pancoast performs in concert at the Brewer Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

The concert will be the culmination of a two days’ residency at the Brewer Community School, where Pancoast will lead the students in learning to write songs. Their songs will be performed during Pancoast’s BPAC concert, along with her own original compositions.

Pancoast was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album in 2011 for her CD “Weird Things are Everywhere!” Called “outrageously fun” by event organizers, she has been making kids and parents dance and sing since 1996 and in 48 states. She is a member of the NH Council on the Arts’ Artists in Education Roster, her programs have been deemed among the highest quality for educational and artistic value and she has been honored by the New Hampshire State Senate for her work with the state’s children. She’s a favorite at the Brewer Public Library, where she is a frequent presenter during their summer reading program.
