Horticultural expert Lois Berg Stack of the University of Maine will discuss common long-term landscape problems include poor plant growth, soil compaction, effects of insect or disease damage and decreasing function over time. These problems can be difficult and expensive to fix after they’ve occurred, but many problems can be prevented by good design, and they can be resolved through early observation and prompt action. Lois will explain how to use good design and smart scouting to increase the enjoyment you derive from your landscape.
