For those inspired to write about our natural surroundings, you are invited to compose a poem about the stunning resource-rich landscape of the Georges River watershed. April is poetry month and the Georges River Land Trust is teaming up with the Rockland Public Library to celebrate the landscape and host an evening of poetry written by local poets of all ages on April 22, 2013. Those interested in contributing a poem to this event should contact the Georges River Land Trust for a “tool kit” providing maps of our trails and preserves as well as instructions for submitting a poem. Explore the special places in our region while practicing your discipline on location. Poems need to be submitted to the Land Trust by Wednesday April 17th. Please contact Annette Naegel at 594-5166 for more information, the Poet’s Toolkit and to submit your poems.
