Heirloom Gardening is for the Birds! (Bees and Butterflies, too!)

Diana Chapin of The Heirloom Garden of Maine will present a collection of slides that highlight some of the most colorful and fragrant plants that attract birds, butterflies and bees to the garden. She’ll discuss the lifecycle of a butterfly and how a gardener may select specific plants that offer shelter, foliage and nectar for the insects in various stages of their lifecycle. At Penobscot Marinr Museum’s Stephen Phillips Memorial Library, 11 Church Street, Searsport. Tickets in advance $8 members, $10 non-members, or at the door $12 members, $15 non-members.
