Portland, ME – A fundraiser concert for the families displaced during a recent fire that destroyed an entire block of historic business and homes in Fort Kent will be held at the Empire Dine & Dance on April 7th. Acts include popular native Northern Mainers who now reside and play around Portland: Dominic and The Lucid, John Clavette, Frank Hopkins, performing artist Tony Chexmix, and more. National indie artist with Portland ties, Saint Solitude, is also slated to appear.
“I’ve been wanting to do a mini-festival focused on this very group of active musicians from the far corner of Maine,” said promoter Ryan Dolan, “These guys from ‘The Valley’ have had a giant impact on Portland’s music scene over the past decade or so. This is not only a great opportunity for them to help their friends back home, but also to celebrate just how much these sons of Fort Kent and the Valley have meant to Portland’s music scene.”
Empire’s kitchen will serve poutine on special.
Tickets are $7 at the door with all proceeds going towards the families in need.
