BAR HARBOR, Maine – A free talk, “Painting Bridges: Uniting Community with Art,” will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at at the Mount Desert Island YMCA.

Artist Howie Moterko will show images of the illuminated bridges of Acadia. He will share stories of how a team of people wield flashlights to illuminate the bridges while a photo is taken. His goal is to complete all 16 bridges for a May art exhibit at the Northeast Harbor Library, with proceeds to benefit Friends of Acadia.
