Author to discuss air ship crash off MDI during WWII

BAR HARBOR, Maine — Author and editor of the Mount Desert Islander Earl Brechlin will be the featured speaker at the free, weekly Walks and Talks program at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the MDI YMCA, 21 Park St. His topic will be “The Crash of the K-14 Air Ship off MDI during WWII.”

Walks and Talks is free and open to the public. After the event, participants are free to use the Y facility.

If bad weather causes schools to close, there will be no program, organizers said.
