LEE, Maine — Ronald Johnson, Jr. owner and horse trainer at R Jay’s Farm in Embden has been traveling and volunteering his time and expertise to help raise awareness and funding for different area equine shelters.

On Sept. 21 and 22, he will be at 4R Animal Shelter (hosted by KD Stable), 202 Thomas Hill Road, Lee, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. He will spend two days training a 3.5-year-old, rescued Palomino colt from ground to saddle using his unique style of natural horsemanship. After this colt has completed his training, he will be up for adoption through the shelter.

This is going to be an exciting demo and a great opportunity to observe and learn. Please check out this gorgeous colt and watch a great trainer give him a solid start. 4R Animal shelter will host a barbecue lunch and used tack sale. 100% of all proceeds will go to this 501.c.3 non profit organization/shelter.

This event will take place rain or shine.

Please bring a lawn chair.
