Early childcare directors and teachers in Knox County—attend a free one-day Spring Conference on the prevention of childhood obesity. The event is Saturday, May 5, at the Camden Teen Center, 10 Knowlton Street from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is sponsored by Let’s Go! Knox County, in collaboration with Pen Bay Healthcare’s Picker Family Resource Center and the Pen Bay YMCA.

Learn more about Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0, a free childhood obesity prevention program designed to increase healthy eating and active living in children. Come and join us as we explore how to incorporate the message of healthy eating and healthy fun into your everyday curriculum. The program and hands-on workshops will provide you with real tools you can take back to your classrooms and implement immediately, such as music and movement, yoga for kids and creating a garden space no matter how small the setting.

To register for the conference, please contact Adrienne Gallant, Let’s Go! Knox County coordinator at 596-8951 or email at For more information about Let’s Go! 5-2-1-0, visit
