The 2013 theme is the Sp”EGG”tactular Circus.
The Egg Festival Committee lead by its officers, President Stephen McCarron; Vice-President Wendy Thibodeau; Secretary Jim Cianchette; and Treasurer Marie Cole, are now meeting in earnest to plan out the 41st Anniversary of the Egg Festival on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers. The next meeting is March 14.
The Egg Festival will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 – Saturday, July 20, 2013 with events each day leading up to the Big Parade and a day of fun at Manson Park on Saturday at the Kiwanis Karnival. This year, once again, the EAA Chapter 736 (Experimental Aircraft Association)
will hold their Annual Fly-in at the Pittsfield Municipal Airport on Saturday, July 20. This will be an all day event with a Pancake Breakfast, Young Eagles First Flight Program with free rides for children, Displays of Light Sport Aircraft, Ultralights, Powered Parachutes and more.
In addition to all of the exciting events – The Big Parade, Fireworks, Kiwanis Karnival, Pageant, Chicken
Barbeque, Street Dance, Egglympics, Marketplace Tent, Kiddie Parade, Quiche/Cheesecake/Pie Contest, Art Display and Window Painting Contest – there will be music – music – and more music.
