Diners rejoice – our 6th annual Eat for Pete’s Sake is coming soon! On June 13th, participating restaurants will donate a percentage of their proceeds to help lost, abandoned and stray animals at the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County.

“Pete” is just one of more than 1,500 animals that come through the Shelter’s doors each year needing food, shelter, medical care, love, attention and a permanent home. Pete represents all of the dogs, cats, birds and rabbits currently residing at the shelter, plus the 60 kittens in foster care awaiting adoption.

So enjoy your meal out twice as much as usual – not just for the delicious food (without the usual preparation and cleanup), but also for the knowledge that you are helping our current residents while they wait to find their forever homes.
