The Eagle Hill Institute invites members of the public to attend a talk entitled “The Myth of Sustainability” hosted by commercial fisherman, author, and East Machias resident, Paul Molyneaux.

Molyneaux will talk about his experiences as a fisherman and journalist, and discuss what defines a healthy fishery. Is it simply sustained economic growth in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors? Or do healthy fisheries include functioning ecosystems, vibrant communities and the equitable distribution of fisheries and aquaculture generated wealth?

The lecture will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Eagle Hill Institute, 59 Eagle Hill Road in Steuben. A pizza dinner will be available following the presentation ($10). For additional information please call 546-2821 ext. #207 or email
