Where do you go to seek investment and financing for the best products, technologies and services that Maine businesses and entrepreneurs have to offer? The television show “Shark Tank” pits budding entrepreneurs against ruthless, billionaire tycoons for the chance to bankroll their dreams. But, there is a gentler, more constructive route available.
This forum is focused on Maine’s business-friendly finance guidance and resources for start-ups, established companies and entrepreneurs. Bob Martin, new President of the Maine Technology Institute (MTI); John Voltz, Executive Director, Blackstone Accelerates Growth; and Mike Finnegan, Senior Vice President of Lending at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. will tell cleantech, environmental, professional service, manufacturing and energy sector representatives and entrepreneurs about the opportunities available in the State. Short subsequent sessions will consider other issues including legal requirements and filings, tax and accounting considerations and other key advice.
