This presentation will feature Gabrielle Tayac (Piscataway), curator of the IndiVisible exhibit, and a Wabanaki scholar speaking on the similar histories of African-Native Americans and Acadian/Wabanaki relations. This presentation will provide a comprehensive explanation of how the struggles of African-Native Americans relates to the Wabanaki tribes of Maine, and how their stories are much more similar than they may seem. Free and open to the public.
