The book Keep the Lights Burning Abbie, by Peter and Connie Roop, is based on the true story of a Maine girl who maintained a lighthouse while her father was away. On Thursday, July 19, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Wilson Museum on 120 Perkins Street, Castine, listen to this classic tale while you discover the importance of lighthouses. Learn more about these maritime structures as we trek to Dyce’s Head to tour the lighthouse tower, led by Castine’s Selectman Peter Vogell.
