Discovery Days: Curious Chucky

CASTINE, Maine — Author Jean Miller and illustrator David Dolittle have written a picture book about an inquisitive young woodchuck named Chucky. Curious? If so, come enjoy the story Curious Chucky at the Wilson Museum 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15. Following the reading, meet the author and enjoy a book-themed activity.

Jean Miller is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University and wrote a natural foods cookbook for her Master’s thesis. She and her husband currently divide their time between Castine, Maine and Arizona. David Dolittle received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and has completed projects for the Rogers Williams Park Zoo and the Harvard Museum of Natural History. His work has been exhibited at several well-known venues around the world, including the National Science Foundation in Washington D.C. and the Gelman Gallery in Providence Rhode Island.

Discovery Days programs are designed for families with children ages 12 and under. The cost for each program is $3 per person or $12 per family of four or more participating members.
